Serve

Through our Marine Bank Employee Activities Committee, we actively recruit employees to volunteer their time giving back to our community. Here are a few of the many ways our employees volunteer their time:

  • Teaching students of all ages about financial responsibility 
  • Cooking meals for the homeless
  • Sorting and packaging food at local foodbanks
  • Organizing activity bags for children's hospitals
  • Volunteering with our local United Way agencies

We encourage our team members to serve in volunteer roles in many charitable organizations.

Because there are more worthwhile needs than we can fund, we support causes that provide financial education and literacy as well as causes that teach members of our communities the skills they need for financial independence. All of our donations must be used in our local communities for the benefit of local people, programs and activities.

Our employees magnify our annual giving through monthly Casual Days, our annual United Way campaign and fundraising activities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

Marine Bank is currently accepting requests for both in-kind and monetary donations to nonprofit organizations and registered charities.

Lead

A cornerstone of Marine Bank is finding ways to take a leadership role in serving, strengthening and building our community. It's important to us to find ways to give back how and where we can. Whether we are holding a food drive, raising funds for United Way through our annual campaign or having a blast participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake event, we find ways to constantly be active in supporting our community.

And while we do these things because it’s the right thing, we are incredibly grateful to be recognized for our efforts. In 2019, Marine Bank was the Golden Distinction winner of the UIS Good as Gold Business Honor Roll.
