Looking for a bank that invests in making our community better? We're with you!
At Marine Bank, we take an active role in building central Illinois. We are committed to making our communities better places to live because we live here, too. We recognize that improving the vitality and quality of life of Springfield, Champaign, Bloomington, Macomb and the surrounding areas is in the best interest of our customers, our team members, our company, and all of the neighbors with whom we interact every day. We share our time, talent and resources to meet community needs.
Through our Marine Bank Employee Activities Committee, we actively recruit employees to volunteer their time giving back to our community. Here are a few of the many ways our employees volunteer their time:
Cooking meals for the homeless
Building homes for low-income families
Collecting trash along streets
Organizing activity bags for children in the hospital
and improving our communities in many other ways.
We encourage our team members to serve in volunteer roles in many charitable organizations.
Because there are more worthwhile needs than we can fund, we focus our corporate giving on programs and organizations that provide services directly to those in need, that emphasize education, and that have the potential of multiplying the effect of each contributed dollar. All of our donations must be used in our local communities for the benefit of local people, programs and activities.
Our employees magnify our annual giving through monthly Casual Days, through our annual United Way campaign, and through the organized support of fundraising activities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
A cornerstone of Marine Bank is finding ways to take a leadership role in serving, strengthening and building our community. It's important to us to find ways to give back how and where we can. Whether we are holding a food drive, raising funds for United Way through our annual campaign or having a blast participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake event, we find ways to constantly be active in supporting our community.
And while we do these things because it’s the right thing, we are incredibly grateful to have been recognized many times for our efforts, including being named an Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and being included in the Business Honor Roll by the UIS Good as Gold Volunteer Awards.
